Do I have to be Asian to join?
Absolutely not. As an organization that seeks to promote cultural awareness, we hold the concept of equality in the highest regard. alpha Kappa Delta Phi does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, age, national origin, or sexual orientation. We are an all-inclusive sorority. Any women who shares similar interests and values is encouraged to join regardless of their own cultural identity. alpha Kappa Delta Phi is composed of the diverse backgrounds and lifestyles of each individual sister. Each member adds her unique experience and spirit to the sorority, building the sisterhood that we are so proud of. We encourage ambitious and motivated women interested in enhancing their college years (and beyond) to attend recruitment or start a chapter.
Does attending recruitment commit individuals to joining the sorority?
Though the weeks and events vary from chapter to chapter, participating in recruitment does not mean you are obligated to join. It is purely a time for you to explore your interests in alpha Kappa Delta Phi and determine if membership is something you would like to pursue.
Are there scholarships?
Yes! Our National Alumnae Board hopes to contribute to the successful future of exemplary active sisters who continue to uphold the standards and integrity of alpha Kappa Delta Phi. NAB currently offers a scholarship program in which actives can apply for at their website.

Are first semester freshman allowed to rush?
Of course! However, we do not accept first-semester freshmen to allow them to explore the campus, and other organizations, and get situated with college courses. However, we encourage them to get to know us and learn more about our organization if they decide to rush into future semesters formally.
